This wonderful original German mold dates to the 1880s. Before the advent of glass ornaments, it was common to decorate the tree with natural finding like pinecones, carved nut shells, and straw garlands. Pinecones are considered good luck for the home as they house freindly forest sprites who welcome the warmth of home and hearth. Made in Germany.
